In bronze gilt, maker marked "AB" (Arthus Bertrand) within a starburst frame on the reverse, measuring 48 mm (w) x 72. 3 mm (h) inclusive of its wreath suspension, very light contact, original ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The National Order of Merit was instituted on January 2, 1984 and awarded for eminent civil, military or public service to the nation, and for exceptional service in
